PH-HGB, Harskamp to Midden-Zeeland.
My girlfriend had never been in a helicopter. She likes seals, and Zeeland has them. It seemed like a good enough reason to go.
We flew the coast low enough to spot them on the beaches. She looked out the window the whole way. We landed at EHMZ, had coffee and the best homemade cookies of any airport restaurant I know, then flew home in the evening light.
That flight is now an object. The terrain we crossed, the path we took, the numbers that prove it happened. Mounted on a poster. Framed in oak. Ready to hang.
Some flights are just flights. Some you want to keep.
the real object,
photographed.
A 3D-printed terrain relief of a real flight. The ground you crossed, printed to scale in matte PLA as Sand, with your route raised across it in Red, mounted on Hahnemühle German Etching paper and framed in oak. The terrain comes from real elevation data, the line from your actual flight path.

200 × 200 mm, framed. it hangs like a small print.
The terrain has real depth, so the relief catches the light as you move past it. One flight, one object. Yours is the only one.

I build the model
Your flight data becomes the terrain and your track. I send you a preview render before printing starts.
Nothing prints until you've approved it.

a pilot, who keeps flights.
I fly a Robinson R44 out of a hangar in Harskamp. When I did my first solo overland, I didn’t get anything to keep from it. That’s what got me thinking about keeping flights. flyvei started from there.
It’s a small studio practice. One flight per piece, made by hand, framed and shipped. flyvei is one of several things I make under Skogsdue.
